Beautiful environment. The owner put a lot of effort building this place. The pool was refreshing and very clean. The breakfast was fine (you can choose between eggs or omelette and they give you fruit, coffee or tea). The owner is super friendly and can help you organize your days around Borobudur. Only 10 mins away from the temple by car.

The rooms was very comfortable, very clean, the setting amazing in rice paddies surrounded by hills and volcanoes. Great breakfast, beautifully presented. Beautiful small pool, palm trees, sitting areas. Bobby the host could not be more helpful and his wife and staff have great smiles. My only problem was having to find transport to get in and out of the village for dinner - travelling alone I had to use a taxi each time, although the driver Bobby found for me was exceptionally helpful and flexible The distance is not a problem for walking, except at night. Highly recommended, and great if you can work out the transport issue.

The host picked us up from the airport. The plane was delayed and we arrived at the airport very late. We were very hungry. On the way back to the hotel, he took us to have a bowl of amazing chicken soup. The hotel is nice and beautiful, carefully decorated every corner, well consider and well equipped. The owner is very warm and welcoming. It is a beautiful hotel very close to Borobudur. I will recommend it to everyone.

Janur Bungalows is not for everyone but it suited us 70s plus couple. In the countryside and quaint. Quiet and relaxing and an excellent base for exploring the temples and volcano and the restaurants the area offers. There is a lot more than the Borobudur temple. Impressive though that was. We spent 6 nights and had a good time. Host Bobby and his support staff looked after us very well including a car and driver to take us round at modest cost. It is not at all up market and there are no shops or cafes or Restaurants or beauty salons or tourist attractions within walking distance. We enjoyed being away from the heat and bustle of being in town. And not paying resort prices. And with temperatures in the 30s no hot shower was not a problem. Everything was just perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Bobby, his wife and the staff were super friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was just amazing, very tasty and beautiful served each time😍 Room was very stylish , bed comfortable, bathroom and shower very good. Great pool area to relax with nice view. The area is quiet and there are no restaurants near by but there is one market on the corner for basic stuff( 2 min walking)and one warung close by open from 9:00 to 18:00 with delicious and cheap food for dinner.( About 5 min walk) . Borobudur temple is just 10 min with the taxi ( you can get there allready for 20-30 k ). About 1.5 h drive to the airport . Thank you for the lovely stay!
